a new life to a dead hdd

A year ago I was presented to a set of small but yet powerful magnets. Nowadays I collect and use them in my own projects. This magnets are found inside hard drive disks (hdd) and are also known as neodymium-iron-boron (NIB) high-flux magnets or even 'rare earth' magnets. They are great to use inside puppet hands if you wish them to pick up heavy things. Here are some pictures of these magnets, those little thin objects over those metal plates. Commonly glued to those brackets with some few dots of glue, they can be removed without stress just by bending the bracket.
