Apenas pega numa caixa grande e enche-a com bolas de diferentes tamnhos e cores, berlindes e outros objectos esféricos. Nunca mais perderás tempo a modelar pares de olhos perfeiros ou superfíces redondas perfeitas.

cutting blades

I use this kind of blades for working on polystyrene. I prefer the small ones and in general I'll spend between two or three blades for sculpting a human sized head. Since this blades are so thin they bend and able you to easily make curved cuts. Like most all of the tools and materials we use, they're bought at retail shops because of the amounts used and their prices. One cutter like this costs around 0,45€ because it's body is mainly metal, but the plastic version rounds the 0,17€.

Eu uso este tipo de lâminas para trabalhar em poliestireno. Prefiro as pequenas e geralmente gasto entre duas a três lâminas para esculpir uma cabeça de tamanho humano. Porque estas lâminas são tão finas, elas podem dobrar e facilmente permitem realizar cortes curvos. Como grande parte das ferramentas e materiais que usamos, são compradas em lojas para retalhistas por causa das quantidades usadas e respectivos preços. Um x-acto como este custa cerca de 0,45€ porque o seu corpo é em grande parte de metal, mas a sua versão de plástico ronda os 0,17€.

another string puppet

Another string puppet is being made on our lair, but this time by the hands of Florbela Ferreira. Florbela is a teacher that has been visiting our working place for more and less two years. She's always available to give us a hand and on any spare moment builds puppets for herself with our help.

The puppet is being made from scratch and she's drawing her own patterns.

Outra marioneta de fios está a ser construída no nosso covil, mas desta vez pelas mãos de Florbela Ferreira. Florbela é uma professora que tem visitado o nosso espaço de trabalho à mais ou menos dois anos. Ela está sempre disponível para dar uma mão e nos momentos livres constrói marionetas para si própria com a nossa ajuda.

A marioneta está a ser construída de raiz e ela está a desenhar os seus próprios moldes.

Yes, I'm back to fimo. They've got a really small collection of colours but this skin colour works well enough for me. And you still can mix them and manage to create your own. Be always sure to check the amount of time to cook and at what temperature since its colour will get all ruined if it cooks at high temperatures.

Sim, estou de volta ao fimo. Eles têm uma colecção de cores realmente pequena mas esta cor de pele funciona na perfeição para mim. E pode ser sempre misturada com outras com vista a criar a sua própria. Tenha sempre a certeza que verifica a temperatura e tempo de cozimento já que a tonalidade pode ser danificada se cozinhar a temperaturas demasiado quentes.

After the idea of Nick Hunter on his own blog, I leave you here a picture of my own 'corner'. It started to be a place, near the entrance door, where I could store my wallet, keys, cellphone and pocket change before starting to work, but it ended up working as an altar of leftovers and other small objects.

A partir da ideia de Nick Hunter no seu blog, deixo-vos uma imagem do meu 'recanto'. Começou por ser um local, perto da porta de entrada, onde eu podia guardar a minha carteira, chaves, telemóvel e trocos antes de iniciar o trabalho, mas acabou por funcionar como um altar de restos e outros pequenos objectos.
